Path of Exile II — Console Playtest Event
Creative → Event & Guest Experience

To support the console and co-op launch of Path of Exile II, I helped produce a premium, hands-on playtest event for top influencers and media during Summer Games Fest 2024. With limited time and budget, we delivered a fully immersive, multi-zone experience that mirrored the game’s dark, detailed world — from gameplay to keynote to branded hospitality.

Goal
Create a seamless and elevated first impression of POE2’s console and co-op experience, tailored to influencers, press, and VIPs. Make it feel hands-on, on-brand, and unforgettable.

Execution
We designed a multi-section space that included:

  • 30 deluxe gaming stations with dual monitors, PS5s, couches, and controllers

  • A themed keynote stage for a live talk with studio co-founder Jonathan Rogers

  • A 1:1 video interview den to capture influencer impressions (led by our video team)

  • On-brand environmental decor, custom signage, and full food/beverage service

  • Live photo + video capture for social, plus tech and guest support onsite

Challenge
With tight timelines and a lean crew, we had to move fast while upholding the polish expected by a global franchise. Coordinating guest logistics, station flow, and event capture across multiple zones required extreme clarity, planning, and flexibility.

  • 52+ influencers and press attended

  • Over 2 million video views from earned social content

  • 40+ influencer YouTube videos and tweets

  • 8 editorial articles including IGN, Eurogamer, and GamesRadar
